LAFAYETTE, La. — There is something about the swamp that has a way of devouring opponents whole.
In the case of the Texas State men's basketball team, its troubles can be found in the Louisiana Swamp, specifically the Cajundome, where prior to Thursday night's tip off, Danny Kaspar's crew had lost by 23 and 22 points, respectively, during its past two trips.
The third time wasn't the charm, either.
Louisiana-Lafayette, which is finally displaying the sort of basketball that many predicted would happen before the season (read: five straight wins), throttled the Bobcats as Kaspar's team eventually fell 80-54.
