SAN MARCOS, Texas – The 2016-17 Texas State men's basketball team takes to the hardwood for the first time this year on Saturday for an exhibition game against Southeastern Oklahoma State at 4:30 p.m. in Strahan Coliseum.
Head coach Danny Kaspar enters his fourth season in charge of the Bobcat program. The past two seasons has seen the team reach the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
Fans will see a lot of new faces on this year's team as Kaspar and his staff brought in eight new players. The newcomers are split evenly between true freshman and junior college transfers.
