NEW ORLEANS – For the third consecutive week, a Texas State soccer player was selected for one of the two weekly Sun Belt Conference awards. Earning the honor this week was junior goalkeeper Heather Martin for her performances over the weekend at Louisiana and South Alabama.
Martin recorded 15 saves with a .938 save percentage and a 0.455 GAA in the two matches. She began with five stops in the 2-1 double overtime victory over the Ragin' Cajuns.
The Midlothian, Texas native followed with one of the best matches of her career on Sunday against the five-time defending conference champion Jaguars.
