SAN MARCOS, Texas — Twenty-four hours after a dominating three-set win over ULM, the Texas State volleyball program came up just short in its bid to extend Saturday night's match against Louisiana to a fifth as the Bobcats fell in four sets.
After Louisiana (8-4, 3-1) closed out the first set on a 15-5 run, Texas State (6-11, 2-2) displayed its resiliency as the Bobcats used a 4-0 run midway through the second set to take a 16-15; its first lead since 7-6. Even when the Ragin' Cajuns answered with a 7-1, Texas State scored four of the set's next five points before Louisiana scored back-to-back to end the come-from-behind attempt.
