SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State senior golfer Logan Lockwood earned the Low Amateur honors at the 50th Texas State Open after carding an 11-under par 269 at The Cascades Golf and Country Club in Tyler, Texas on July 28-31.
Lockwood ended the tournament in fifth place overall after shooting a 2-under par 68 in the final round on the par-70 course.
He had his best round in the tournament in the third round when he shot a 6-under par 64. Lockwood began the tournament shooting a 1-under par 69 in the first round and a 2-under par 68 in the second round.
