NEW ORLEANS – Senior Zachary Leigh was named the Sun Belt Conference's Pitcher of the Week after his standout performance in the series opener against UT Arlington last Thursday. It is the first weekly honor in his career.
In the series opener, Leigh threw a complete game shutout with seven strikeouts. He allowed only three hits and walked a batter. Leigh also proved his prevalence in the field as he made four putouts and recorded two putouts.
The complete game shutout was the first by a Bobcat pitcher since Lucas Humpal did so against Incarnate Word on Mar.
