SAN ANTONIO – The Texas State women's basketball team (2-2) defeated the UTSA Roadrunners (2-3) on Tuesday night at the UTSA Convocation Center by a score of 68-60.
Senior guard Toshua Leavitt extended her double-figure streak to 11 games with a game-high 25 points. She also dished out a career-best eight assists and collected a pair of steals in 37 minutes of action. Leavitt connected on five 3-point field goal attempts to give her multiple made 3-pointers in 23 consecutive games.
Sophomore forward Jayla Johnson continued her terrific start to the 2018-19 season with 12 points, all coming in the second half.
