SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State senior golfers Wyatt Koricanek and Clayton King are among the top 13 golfers at the 112th Texas Amateur through 54 holes on the par-72, 7,373-yard course at the Midland Country Golf Club.
Koricanek is in a three-way tie for sixth place after shooting a five-under-par 211 through 54 holes. He entered the tournament after earning a second alternate spot at a May 13 qualifying tournament in Blanco.
He opened the tournament firing a four-under-par 68 in the opening round on Thursday and came back to shoot five-under-par in Friday's second round.
