MONROE, La. – The Texas State soccer team came away with a 2-1 victory over ULM Friday night at Brown Stadium to complete the first half of its Sun Belt Conference schedule.
With the victory, the Bobcats improve to 2-6-1 overall and 2-2-0 in conference play while the Warhawks fall to 0-4-0 and 0-3-0 in the Sun Belt.
ULM's first shot of the match was a dangerous as had to make a diving stop and push the ball out of bounds midway through the fourth minute.
Despite the Warhawks taking the first three shots of the match, it was TXST that found the back of the net first.
