Auburn, Ala. – While the Texas State women's tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss, head coach Tory Plunkett was pleased with the emergence of one of her freshmen players against No. 40-ranked Auburn on Sunday morning.
Joy Chia Ming Ming scored Texas State's lone point in the match when she won her singles match by a score of 7-6 (7-5), 7-5.
"She did everything well by staying on the offensive," said Plunkett. "She used her forehand as a weapon and had some really good serves. She also was helping to coach her teammate in doubles.
