SAN MARCOS, Texas –The Wuerffel Trophy, presented by Chick-fil-A Foundation® announced today that Texas State wide receiver/punt returner Hutch White is on its preseason Watch List.
The Wuerffel Trophy, known as "College Football's Premier Award for Community Service," is presented each February in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Named after 1996 Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Danny Wuerffel from the University of Florida, the Wuerffel Trophy is awarded to the FBS player that best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement.
White is a senior wide receiver-punt returner for the Bobcats. He is a preseason All-Sun Belt Conference selection as a punt returner in 2019 after being named an Honorable Mention All-Sun Belt selection in 2018.
