SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State's senior ace Lucas Humpal was recognized for both national and Sun Belt Conference weekly awards this week. The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association named Humpal the National Pitcher of the Week while the Sun Belt Conference and CollegeSportsMadness.com named him the SBC Pitcher of the Week.
"I am honored to receive this award and represent Texas State on a national level. I'm proud to be a Bobcat," said Humpal. "I can't achieve something like this on my own. My teammates deserve plenty of recognition as well.
