With 3:43 remaining in the game, two UTSA defenders converged on senior guard at the elbow. Bowie dumped the ball off to an uncovered senior forward on the left block.
A 45-degree left-handed spin and an uncontested layup later, Hood became the 20th member of the 1,000-point club in Texas State women's basketball history.
