SAN MARCOS, Texas – After a defeat against Incarnate Word Wednesday, the Texas State softball team looks to turn things around in its next home conference series against UL Monroe Friday and Saturday. First pitch of Friday's doubleheader is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Bobcat Softball Stadium.
Heading into week three of conference play, the Bobcats are 2-4 in the Sun Belt and 21-10 overall. Texas State has won three of their last six games going into this weekend.
Offensively, Ariel Ortiz leads the 'Cats with a .344 batting average. Ortiz, along with Taylor Webb and Jaelyn Young, recorded two hits against Incarnate Word.
