SAN MARCOS, Texas – Both Texas State outfielder Will Hollis and John Wuthrich were listed among the top 100 outfielders in the D1Baseball.com Power Rankings for the 2020 season. The Bobcats were one of two Sun Belt Conference teams with two players on the list, being joined by South Alabama.
Wuthrich finished 31st in the rankings and second in the Sun Belt. The junior finished the shortened 2020 campaign with a slash line of .322/.438/.644. He hit four home runs, drove in 12 runs and scored 18 times. The Midland, Texas native ended the year on a seven-game hitting streak that coincided with the Bobcat's winning streak.
