SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State baseball head coach Ty Harrington announced two informal scrimmages to take place at Bobcat Ballpark during the fall practice season. The Bobcats will host Lamar on Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. and Northeast Texas Community College on Friday, Oct. 26 at 3 p.m.
In April, new NCAA Division I Council announced it had adopted sweeping legislative proposals including allowing teams to play fall exhibition games/informal scrimmages without them counting against the 56-game spring schedule.
Lamar is coming off a 19-36 season with a 13-17 record in the Southland Conference.
