SAN MARCOS, Texas – Junior hit a walk-off double as Texas State claimed a 10-9 victory over Georgia Southern in the series finale Sunday afternoon at Bobcat Ballpark.
"Fortunately, my teammates had two really good at bats before me. My job wasn't that hard and I wasn't trying to do too much," said Gonzalez. "We had plan against the pitcher and luckily he left one over the plate and I was able to get to it."
With the win, the Bobcats improve to 24-9 overall and 9-3 in the Sun Belt Conference while the Eagles fall to 20-11 on the year and 8-4 in conference play.
