SAN MARCOS, Texas - Texas State University head tennis coach Tory Plunkett has named Diego Garavito as a graduate assistant coach for the 2018-19 season.
"Diego comes highly recommended not only by the coaches he has worked with and played for, but also by former Texas State tennis players," Plunkett said. "With the addition of Diego as our graduate assistant coach and the Sun Belt Conference starting a new league schedule, I am looking forward to the upcoming year. It is an exciting time for the tennis program."
Garavito comes to Texas State after serving as a volunteer assistant coach for the men's tennis team at Duke and helping the Blue Devils earn a pair of NCAA Team Championship appearances during the last two seasons.
