BOONE, N.C. – Senior forward Emani Gant scored the 800th point of his Texas State career Saturday afternoon in the Bobcats' 76-56 loss to Appalachian State in the Holmes Center. The Los Angeles, California native finished with 10 points, giving him 802 in his third year in San Marcos.
Texas State fell to 7-5 overall and 1-2 in the Sun Belt Conference while the Mountaineers are now 3-12 on the season, 1-3 in the league and snapped a nine-game losing streak.
Cameron Naylor paced the Bobcats with 14 points off the bench on 5-of-10 shooting and made his lone three-point attempt.
