HUMBLE, Texas – Lifted by shooting under par in both of Monday's two rounds, Texas State women's golf ended day one of the Chevron Collegiate at the Golf Club of Houston (Par 72, 6,171 yards) tied for eighth with a 9-under.
In a field of 16 teams all ranked in the top-75 in the country, the Bobcats shot 4-under 284 in round one and 5-under 283 in round two to finish the day in a two-way tie with North Texas for eighth on the team leaderboard. Texas A&M and SMU lead the group by both shooting a 23-under (553).
