SAN MARCOS, Texas –VolleyballMag.com announced Wednesday that Texas State freshman setter Emily DeWalt has been named a 2018 Honorable Mention All-America selection.
A native of Helotes, Texas, DeWalt was also chosen an All-Southwest Region selection by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) after being named the Sun Belt Conference's Setter and Freshman of the Year and First-Team All-Sun Belt earlier this fall.
DeWalt enjoyed a record-setting freshman campaign in which she set a Sun Belt record by earning 11 Player of the Week awards this season, being named Setter of the Week six times and Freshman of the Week on five occasions.
