SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State volleyball head coach Karen Chisum, and three of her student-athletes were recognized at the National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) reception hosted by Texas State University Campus Recreation on Feb. 6 in the Warren Room of the Football Endzone Complex. Senior Halee Brewer was given the Leadership Award, junior Konner Wood received the Most Spirited Award, senior Amy Pflughaupt was honored with the Perseverance Award, and coach Chisum was tabbed as Coach of the Year.
"We are proud to be a part of the NGWSD celebration," Chisum said.
