MONROE, La. — A week after low temperatures forced the cancellation of its weekend series with Arkansas State, the Texas State women's basketball team returned from a two-week hiatus to shoot a season-high 52.8 percent en route to an 85-62 win at ULM Friday night.
Kennedy Taylor, who surpassed the 100-assist mark on the season for the third straight year, started the Texas State (9-10, 6-8) scoring with a driving layup at the 8:08 mark of the first period.
A second-chance layup by Ja'Kayla Bowie made it 4-0, before Gara Beth Self made it a one-possession game seconds later.
