SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State track and field program has two current student-athletes competing in Spanish and French national championships, and three alums competing at the U.S. Olympic Trials beginning this weekend.
Pedro Osorio Lopez will be running in the men's 800 meters at the Spanish U23 National Championships in Nerja, Spain, on June 19-20. Osorio Lopez was the Sun Belt Conference champion in the 800 meters at the Sun Belt's Outdoor and Indoor Championships. He qualified for the NCAA Preliminary Championships in the 800 meters with a career-best time of 1:48.
