Sitting in Ty Harrington's office about 12 months ago, Tanner Hill heard something that sounded absolutely crazy at the time.
Even now, it's still hard to fathom.
After Hill's well-timed power surge at the end of last season — the San Marcos native's ah-ha moment — Jeremy Fikac, who was conducting the Bobcats' end-of-year meetings alongside former hitting coach Mike Silva and Harrington, compared the slugger to that first baseman who wore a No. 37 jersey.
"He (Fikac) said, 'You know Tanner, there really is no difference in the power that you and Paul Goldschmidt have,'" Hill recalled.
