BOONE, N.C. — With just under three minutes haven been played in Texas State's 73-55 loss at App State on Saturday afternoon, Tianna Eaton checked into the contest. Seventy seconds later, Eaton connected on a 3-point attempt to cut the Bobcats' deficit.
The basket was a sign of things to come for the California native.
Three minutes after hitting from long range, Eaton took a Kennedy Taylor pass and sank a mid-range jumper to tie the game at 10-10. By quarter's end, she had five of the Bobcats' 12 first-quarter points.
