MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Making just his second start of the season, junior Bryson Dudley threw a complete game shutout as seventh-seeded Texas State defeated 10-seed App State 3-0 on Tuesday from Riverwalk Stadium.
Dudley struck out a career-high 10 and did not walk a batter in the contest. He only gave up two hits while facing the minimum to improve to 5-1 on the season. Liam Best (2-5) surrendered two runs on five walks and one hit while striking out six to take the loss.
It is the first postseason shutout for the Bobcats since a 9-0 win over Stephen F.
