SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Sun Belt Conference recognized three Texas State women's basketball players with preseason all-conference honors Thursday morning.
Senior Taeler Deer returns for her final season in the maroon and gold as a preseason all-conference second team honoree. Deer led the team last season in points (332), points per game (10.7), assists (109), assists per game (3.5), steals (46) and steals per game (1.5). The Houston native was the only member on last season's team to post at least 300 points, 100 rebounds and 100 assists. She is within striking distance to land inside the top-10 in points, assists and steals on the all-time Bobcat record book by the time she graduates.
