NEW ORLEANS – On Friday the Sun Belt Conference announced its yearly indoor track & field conference awards which saw Texas State's Chelsie Decoud, Tramesha Hardy and Jody Stewart earn honors. Decoud was named co-Women's Most Outstanding Field Athlete of the Year, Hardy was selected the Women's Most Outstanding Track Athlete of the Year and Stewart was picked as the Women's Head Coach of the Year.
Decoud claimed her fourth consecutive gold medal in the high jump after clearing a school, conference meet and SBC record 1.88m (6-2). She did so basically on one leg to qualify for the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships with the third best clearance this season.
