SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State soccer team opened Sun Belt Conference play with statement victory over ULM by the score of 4-0 Friday night at the Bobcat Soccer Complex for the team's third annual Teal Match. Kaylee Davis paced the team with a two-goal performance, netting one in each half.
With the win, the Bobcats improve to 3-5-0 overall and are 1-0-0 in conference play while the Warhawks remain winless on the season at 0-8-0 and 0-1-0 in the Sun Belt.
ULM recorded the first shot of the match midway through the fifth minute when Alexiss Trudeau attempt curled way wide of the left post.
