NEW ORLEANS – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its preseason regional rankings on Monday. Texas State saw the men ranked seventh and the women eighth.
The men's team has tied the second best regional rank in program history. The Bobcats coming off a program best fifth-place finish at the NCAA South Central Regional and for the second straight year came in third at the Sun Belt Conference Championships.
Joseph Meade is the Bobcats top returner on the men's side after placing 18th at last year's regional and seventh at the conference meet.
