SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State was able to bring the winning run to the plate in the ninth inning but were unable to complete the comeback Sunday afternoon as Sam Houston took the series finale 3-1 at Bobcat Ballpark.
"I thought Drayton Brown did a great job throwing the baseball with the exception of the home run. Also saw some different guys out of the bullpen and what we need to continue to work on," said head coach Steven Trout. "Our offense approach was terrible from the get-go, and we didn't really make them work as we had 13 flyouts.
