Texas State neutralized South Alabama's greatest strength across 21 innings this weekend inside Bobcat Softball Stadium.
The Jaguars, who feature a lineup that puts the ball in play and creates havoc on the base paths as opposed to hitting it over the fence, had a difficult time doing any of that against the Bobcats, specifically Randi Rupp. Because, simply put, it's awful hard to score runs when you can't even get runners on base in the first place.
Even when South Alabama had something cooking during the early stages of the Bobcats' 1-0 victory on Sunday afternoon, Rupp was there to cut the visitors off at the pass.
