MOBILE, Ala. — Texas State's run at the Sun Belt Tournament concluded with a dud against top-seeded Louisiana-Lafayette.
The Ragin' Cajuns made a mockery of Saturday's title bout as they no hit the Bobcats during a 12-0 five-inning, run-rule victory at Jaguar Field. Despite the loss, Texas State (39-20) could still land an at-large bid into the regional round of the NCAA Tournament.
"They obviously came out on fire and with something to prove," Woodard said after her team played its fifth game in four days. "I knew we might struggle to have enough pitching and enough gas in the tank to get a win.
