On the surface, Texas State head football coach Everett Withers and athletic director Larry Teis would appear to be at odds on the issue of satellite camps.
Teis, who voted on behalf of the Sun Belt, was one of six representatives on the NCAA Division I council that said satellite camps should be banned. Teis was in the majority as on April 8 the NCAA shut down all satellite recruiting camps by a 10-5 margin.
At Thursday's practice, Withers said he disagreed with that decision.
"It was a snap decision. It was a bad decision," he said.
