For the first time all season, Texas State didn’t have a midweek game against an in-state opponent from a power conference. On the contrary, the Bobcats had a full four days away from game action as they concentrated on final examinations and the end to the spring semester.
Now that the school year is over, Texas State can devote its full attention to baseball, starting this weekend when Ty Harrington’s club travels to Jonesboro, Arkansas, to face Arkansas State.
With a strong finish to the season, the Bobcats (26-23, 13-11 Sun Belt), who have won four of the past five games, will likely improve their seeding for this month’s Sun Belt Tournament in San Marcos.
