Don’t let the ’Cats get hot?

Well, it’s too late.

Unlike last season, when Texas State struggled to string together back-to-back wins — let alone a long winning streak — this season has been a completely different story. The Bobcats, who have now won seven consecutive games and nine of their past 10, roll into San Antonio tonight for a date against UTSA.

“This year, we play hard all nine innings,” junior Granger Studdard. “We have a good group of guys who hustle. You can never count us out.”

As Texas State (12-4) travels south, Ty Harrington’s team has abundance of confidence on its side after sweeping Louisiana-Monroe last weekend, while the Roadrunners (8-7) have to be feeling down as they are fresh off a sweep at the hands of Gonzaga in San Antonio.
