There is something about big crowds that brings out the best from the Texas State baseball team.
Since Bobcat Ballpark opened in 2009, the Bobcats have played in front of eight crowds of at least 2,181 fans. And those games, not so surprisingly, have been against big-name opponents (Texas, Texas A&M, Michigan, Nebraska and Notre Dame) to name a few.
Yet, for as much success as Texas State has had in those games — Ty Harrington’s team owns a 6-2 record — one opponent has prevented that mark from being perfect (read: the Texas Longhorns).
