Colorado Springs, Colorado – Senior Pippa Carr won the second flight and Ana Perez won her third match in the fifth flight with a pair of three-set victories to lead the Texas State women's tennis team at the Air Force Invitational on Sunday.
Carr won the second flight championship with a three-set victory over Abilene Christian's Lucile Pothier. After dropping the first set by a score of 3-6, Carr came back to win the second set 6-4. Then she won the third set, 7-6 (3), after winning the tie breaker.
Meanwhile, Perez won her third straight match in the tournament with a victory over Jordan Henry of Abilene Christian.
