SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State running back Calvin Hill received Honorable Mention Earl Campbell Tyler Rose National Player of the Week honors on Monday following his performance in Texas State's 24-22 victory at Arkansas State last Saturday.
Hill rushed for a career-best 123 yards on 13 carries and scored a game-deciding touchdown to lead the Bobcats. He set up his six-yard touchdown run with a career-long 78-yard run to Arkansas State's five-yard line. Then, following a Bobcat penalty, Hill ran yards up the middle into the end zone for the touchdown.
Hill's 123 rushing yards was the second straight week in which he ran for 100 yards after finishing with 100 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries at Coastal Carolina on Nov.
