COLLEGE STATION, TX — The Texas State women's basketball program wanted to come out Wednesday afternoon and win the first "round" in its non-conference matchup at Texas A&M but the Aggies took the first round — and then the third, too — as the Bobcats fell in College Station, 67-46.

Texas State had its opportunities earlier in the first quarter, but a lid covered the basket for the Bobcats as the team missed their first four field goal attempts over the opening five minutes of the game. By the time Da'Nasia Hood's pull-up jumper fell to get the Bobcats on the scoreboard with 4:48 left in the first stanza, the Aggies were already ahead by two possessions.
