SAN MARCOS, Texas – Seniors Cameron Bush and Rhett McCaffety combined to shutout and hold 21st-ranked Troy to just four hits Friday night as Texas State claimed a 6-0 victory in the series opener. It was the Bobcats third shutout of the season and the first time the Trojans have been held scoreless since May 28, 2022 versus Georgia Southern in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
With the results, TXST improved to 25-25 on the season and 11-14 in conference play while Troy is now 34-17 overall and 16-9 in league action.
