Burke Tied for Sixth After 36 Holes at Lewis Chitengwa Memorial

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Jack Burke opened the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial by firing his sixth round of 2024-25 in the 60s to lead the Texas State men's golf team across 36 holes on Monday.

The senior went 5-under 66 on the par-71 course by registering six birdies in the opening round and went on to finish the day 4-under and in a tie for sixth place, three strokes out of the top three and six back from the individual leader. After two rounds, Burke's 10 birdies are the second most for an individual.

As a team, the Bobcats are eighth at 4-over heading into the final round of action.
