DESTIN, Florida – The Texas State men's golf team completed 18 holes of action at the Sandestin Collegiate Classic on Monday, with a pair of Bobcats leading the way in the top 20. The three-day tournament is being hosted by TXST at the Sandestin Resort & Club.
Senior Sakke Siltala and junior Jose Manuel Berenguel Casas, who transferred to TXST ahead of the 2025-26 season, went -1 across the opening 18 to sit tied for 20th in the 80-player field. Siltala collected six birdies in the first round, including a pair to open the day as well as two on the last four holes to close out the day.
