SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State softball team (18-15, 7-4 Sun Belt) walked away with a 4-3 victory over the Georgia State Panthers (5-28, 3-8 Sun Belt) at Bobcat Softball Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
KEY MOMENTS
- Junior outfielder scored the first run of the game on a wild pitch in the bottom of the first inning. McDowell also preserved the lead with a spectacular play in center to end the GSU threat in the top of the sixth.
- Georgia State evened the score on an RBI single from sophomore catcher Alyssa Brumelow in the top of the fourth inning.
