SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Texas State's women's golf program shaved four strokes off its first-round score, carding a 302 Tuesday at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational, contested at the par 72, 6,450-yard Briggs Ranch Golf Club.
Ninth-ranked Arkansas leads the field with a 14-under 562, while No. 39 Texas A&M and No. 23 Tennessee are tied for second with 6-under 570 totals. Texas State is 14th overall with a 608 tally (306-302) and trails No. 49 Old Dominion (305-296=601) and LSU (305-296=601) by seven strokes.
Raksha Phadke shot a 71 on Monday after a 4-over 76 in round one and has a two-round total of 147.
