AUSTIN, Texas – After coming up just short on Tuesday night at home against No. 1 Texas, 17th-ranked Texas State (11-3) defeated the Longhorns (12-2) 6-4 Wednesday night at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. It was the Bobcats' third ever win over a top-ranked team and the second on the road with the first being on Apr. 27, 2005 over the Longhorns in Austin.
(1-0) picked up the win with a scoreless inning of relief and striking out one. earned his fourth save of the season as all three outs he recorded came via strikeout. It was also his 13th career save to tie Pasquale Mazzoccoli for third on the program's career list.
