HATTIESBURG, Mississippi — Texas State got its second win of the weekend with a sweep over the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The grit the Bobcats showed yesterday continued through set one. After an early run from the Golden Eagles found the Bobcats down, the battled back through the midway point of the set. Highlighted by Sam Wunsch hitting .714 (5-0-7) through the opening set and Sophie Childs five kills of her own, the Bobcats dug out a 26-24 win in set one.
The Bobcats found a rhythm through set two which included a 6-0 run to take a 16-13 lead after two aces by Alyssa Clark and a block by KJ Johnson and Bailey Hanner.
