HOUSTON – Freshman Alana Clark scored her first collegiate goal with just over two minutes left in regulation to tie the match. The Texas State soccer team (0-1-1) would go on to draw 1-1 against Houston Baptist (0-0-1) Sunday night at Sorrells Field that started 35 minutes later than planned due to lightning in the area.
In the eighth minute, Mackenzie Smith took a hard crack at goal after a cross in from the right side. The Huskies' goalkeeper was able to parry the ball away for corner kick.
Trinity Clark had a similar look as Smith in the 25th minute but saw her shot caught by the keeper.
