NEW ORLEANS – The Texas State volleyball team sit atop the West Division in the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Volleyball Preseason awards announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon. In addition, The Bobcats place three senior student-athletes on the Preseason All-Sun Belt Team, including setter Emily DeWalt, outside hitter Janell Fitzgerald, and middle blocker Tyeranee Scott. DeWalt was tabbed Preseason Setter of the Year for the third consecutive season, while Fitzgerald was named the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.
The Maroon and Gold tied with Coastal Carolina with 11 total first-place votes who was picked to win the east.
